SHIPPING AND ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

We ship worldwide, for international orders please contact us prior to purchase to confirm the postage rates to your destination. Rest assured we send everything recorded delivery and most items especially the ones going abroad are tracked. Still worried? check out our Etsy page and the reviews section of the chessboard that went all the way to Alaska, ordered, built, shipped and delivered in 10 days. 

Every item we make is from hardwood offcuts destined for the scrapheap. If we post items we always use recycled, compostable packaging. We try to tread as lightly on the planet as we possibly can, so you can be sure by purchasing one of these items, you do so from a company that cares about the environment it operates within and makes use of things which otherwise would have been disposed of.

I gladly accept returns

Contact me within: 14 days of delivery

Dispatch items back within: 30 days of delivery

I don't accept exchanges or cancellations

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalised orders

Conditions of return

Buyers are responsible for postage costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

  • How long will it take my order to arrive?
    We ship as soon as payment is received and cleared depending upon the postage selected it generally takes between 2-5 working days. Please contact us if there is a tight deadline or special requests in advance.
  • Can I order something bespoke from you?
    Absolutely within reason we can make anything your heart desires. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
  • My order has not arrived or my order has arrived damaged.
    Firstly don't worry, we are a small business and customer satisfaction is our number one aim. All our posted packages are tracked and insured so rest easy you and we are covered. Please get in touch with us and we do our best to assist.
  • My product has lost its shine or is duller than when I first bought it?
    We coat everything we make in food safe mineral oil and then apply a layer of wax called board butter which is made from the mineral oil and natural environmentally sourced beeswax. It available to buy on the website and its as easy as rubbing it on the wood and giving it a buff with a lint free cotton cloth or similar.
  • Can I collect from you instead of posting the item?
    Yes by prior arrangement you can collect from us, our address is published on the website and as long as you contact us to arrange a date and time beforehand then we are more than happy to see our customers in person......careful though all our other items are displayed in the workshop so you might end up coming home with some other lovely stuff as well. 😉
  • What is an FAQ section?
    An FAQ section can be used to quickly answer common questions about you or your business, such as “Where do you ship to?”, “What are your opening hours?” or “How can I book a service?” It’s a great way to help people navigate your site and can even boost your site’s SEO.
